The body of this Casa Padrino table lamp follows a Chinese storage vase: a widely swelling belly, a short shoulder, above it a stepped collar ring and a slim neck that carries the shade.

The surface is black high gloss lacquered and looks almost like glazed ceramic. It catches every light in the room and returns it as a narrow vertical reflection that traces the curve and makes the body appear larger than it is.

Beneath the vase lies a solid block base in the same colour. It lifts the form and gives it a footing; in total the lamp weighs 15.8 kg.
